How do you follow someone on iPod Twitter?

If you are following someone (with iPod twitter) but they aren't following you how do you message/comment on post/mention them? When I try to do this it will not show up. It only shows up on my wall. Why do other peoples' comments show up but not mine?

If they don't follow you, you can't message them, but to mention them look in the top right hand corner, there should be a small icon with a page and a pen, click on that and then above the keyboard there are symbols, click @ and then type the persons name on twitter, for example @PlanetJedward.
