I like the same guy as my best friend...?
So I have liked this guy since last year. He ended up going out with a close friend but they broke up after 10 months because she was horrible (lied, cheated and such) he broken up with her and doesn't want anything to do with her. He talks to me and my best friend on twitter and kik and such and we are quite close. I found out today that my best friend likes him. I said to her that I liked him also.
We agreed for it not to affect our friendship and if he liked her I wouldn't be bothered and vice versa. Only I think I am a bit bothered. I mean, she kept messaging some of then stuff they were talking about and I started getting jealous. I really like this dude, more than my best friend since I have a bad rep for friendships, and dislike the majority of my friends anyways. I'm close to my best friend but I can tolerate her being with the guy I have liked for ages, I guess.

I just don't know what to do. How can I be more confident, smiley and just generally better around this guy? Its not a competition, I know, I genuinely like this guy and I think he likes me back. Him and his ex broke up over 3 ,months ago and he says he's over it. I duno, I mean when I talk to him in person I still get butterflies and freeze up. I just want to make myself more attractive personality wise.... How?!

Okay you say you really like this guy and he may like you? Well I get that you don't want your friend to date him period am I right? My advice to you is to try to act slightly romantic toward him in person and so on. Now as to help your confidence around him, just be your self. If he does like you then just be yourself but be a little more out going. Things you might could do: hug him more, invite him to hang out, maybe invite him to your house for like a movie night and have dinner with him. These are just options but just if you care about your friend don't brag about it to her like she does about her conversations with him. Be the bigger person and everything will fall into place. I promise. Good luck with this(:
