Make those cheap buisness cards at a local printing office and just pass them around the town or city, it shouldnt be to expensive'

Face book is pretty cheap also make a face book page . Face book had new ways of avertiseing instead of posting it in the avertiseing box of everyone witch is exspencive it post it based on what they like on the face book page for exsample if Iike the burger page then burger restruants near me will be in my avertiseing box I hope this helps

social networking like twitter and FB are free but very time consuming

cheap business cards may not be effective in your line.

I would try a local newspaper classified ad, or posters on bus shelters.

keep it simple, don't write a long list of things you do, just 1 or 2 main things you want to do (fix up your basement, add a toilet )
