Online Dating:Omg People who tried Online Dating??!?!?!?!?
This is my first time trying online dating. and i am talking to this one guy and we were fine. one day he asked me if he can add me on facebook but i told him my fb is deactivated. he replied back saying Him: "oh i was going to see if you wanted to ad so i can verify you're not a serial killer
Me: lol was that a joke?
Him:maybe Well ive had experiences with people not looking very similar to their match photos. that's why i ask
Me:Oh well i look like my pictures.that's why people meet in public places so they can escape
Him: lol k

He thinks i am beautiful and funny...but out of the blue he asked me this question. does he think i am too good to be true?

He is correct when he says that people try hiding what they look like when on-line dating. Many people use their actual photo, but from the years past when they were in shape and good looking. I don't understand their reasoning, because it is as you say, you meet up and then it is more then a little awkward when you look nothing like the photo.

Girls are notorious for trying to get the right angle and just put their face in the shot to make themselves look skinny. It is a disappointment when you assume the girl is in shape, and they turn out to be large. You should never start out with a lie.

So he was telling you the truth about verifying your looks.

Well all I can tell you is that I have been there and done that. I met a guy one one of those sites and he was sweet at first, then I found out he was only after my bank account and never cared for me at all. This is why we have to take time and get to know people a little better before jumping into something. All I can say is he is probably praying on another woman's bank account now because I dropped him like a hot potato!

He was well in his rights to ask, you should have a facebook if you're thinking of online dating! Because it kind of helps verify who you are. Because you can still be fake even meeting in a public place, they could be watching you for all you know and just when you think you've been stood up they could grab you easily as you're on your way back home, or even follow you home and find out where you live. Facebook can really help, because if you have a good lot of photo's with friends and lots of family and friends then it's very unlikely your a serial killer

Have you heard of that online dating show on MTV called Catfish? That is why I don't like online dating because people alter their photos.
