Most people won't take the time to properly study these things, which gives you an advantage if you do. Just like any business skill, advertising is hard work. It takes a lot of time and effort. That being said, it is very rewarding when you can see your website climb the ranks on Google Analytics. As you know, there are many avenues for social marketing such as Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In. Just make sure that you don't push your products too hard on the social sites. People go there to relax, and don't necessarily want to be force-fed products. Keep it light and social, and try to be helpful when you can.
