How to take awesome photos?

I just got a new Samsung DV300F camera, wich i find very cool, and i want to start taking some cool amazing pictures for social media and photo contests (not to myself, more like details or cool stuff). Can i get ideas or advices? Thanks

The library and the Internet offer an infinite amount of photography/visual arts/art lessons. Furthermore, there are hundreds of thousands of artists who post their own work online; study their work. And if it is technical mastery of the camera that you seek, every camera comes with an instruction book. Bottom line: research, study others and learn through practice.

There is no shortcut to learning the technical and artistic basics of the craft. To improve your photography you will have to improve your knowledge and then practice. Unfortunately you have chosen a camera that does not have manual mode to adjust exposure. You will have to depend on the "scene" modes and exposure compensation, and rely on good composition and lighting. Here are a couple of sites to get you started:
