Is it even possible to fall in love with someone you never met?

So I'm bi and I met this girl in a dating site. I'm 17, she's 16. We started texting and she was already showing interest but I put a stop to it from the start and told her I want her to be just a sister. We got attached through text messaging, calling, facebook, and twitter but we never met each other. We know what each other looks like by pictures. We have been texting everyday for 3 months now and we understand each other very well, shared our deepest secrets, and more. We even had fights where we almost walked out of each other lives. She even made a letter for me that she scanned. She's a pisces btw and I'm a virgo. Before, I already made it clear to her that we're just sisters. And she settled with that and told me her feelings for me are gone. Then a few days ago, she confessed and explained to me that since from the start, she couldn't get me. She settled as my sister to have a way to be in my life even if im not hers and that all this she wanted me more and more, and in love with me the whole time. I think her feelings are not real and I emphasized that to her. I was kinda disappointed cause Im already happy the way things is and I want to meet her already which i can cause we are only 1 hr away from each other. Then now im scared cause she have this feelings and I don't want her to expect, I feel like she's creating this fantasy of my image in her head. She's all about looks , I know that. I only like her as my sister but I also don't want the feeling of someone having feelings for me then once that person have met me, she'll just be disappointed and I hate the feeling of not being good enough. I have many suitors and stuff and receive compliments all the time but I'm still insecure and always think im not good enough and this might happen. I want her to lose the feelings now before i meet her so that i won't be afraid that i will not be good enough.

So my real question is. Is it even possible that she really fell in love with me? And what do you think I should just do in this situation?

It's definitely possible. Unlike real life relationships, there is no physical contact keeping a relationship together. Anything you feel for that person has to be completely emotional, since there is so way sex could keep it together, as sex isn't truly possible.

I know exactly what you mean, and it's really hard meeting them, since everyone looks better in pictures, (usually.) So I just wouldn't meet her, or make yourself look extra nice, if you'd like.
