Why is it exactly that makes people nuts over facebook and twitter?
i mean i use facebook, but its ok. half the stuff i could do online, i think the only really kool feature worth using facebook in the first place is sharing pics and having others share there thoughts. and as for twitter i am not a user but im pretty sure i understand how it works. u keep putting diffrent things that are going on in ur life or going to do stuff like that and i think people can comment. to me it just seems so ocd, ive seen people on facebook putting like every other things there doing inlcuding what they eat and when they went to bed!!! lol 2 me its silly,

so what do u think of the whole facebook twitter craze?

I use facebook to communicate, keep in touch with, and keep updated a large number of people (my family, my friends, my husbands family, co-workers, etc) so that for example I can post "In the airport!" and everyone will know without me having to individually tell everyone. I can also scroll through my feed and see what everyone has been up to and commenting if I feel like and not if I dont want to.

As for Twitter, I keep my twitter list very small, I dont understand people who are obsessed with getting high twitter follower numbers, but I use it mostly to follow celebs and a select few or people that I cant talk to on fb (for example, one of my fave porn stars and I frequently chat on twitter but I could never post that on facebook because both mine and my hubbys religious families would freak out) also occasionally the most awesome thing happens and my fave celebs actually talk to me on twitter which is awesome.

So yeah thats why I use each one.

I think it's an awful fad. People tend to be more sociopathic over the internet. I quit facebook after I lost a friend from college because of the things I wrote on facebook. Twitter is just stupid. Both are examples of how corporations are trying to take over the internet. Even food companies advertise on Twitter, like Snickers and Cheezits. A lot of people use facebook as their primary interface with the web. A sensible person would use a search engine or set up a personal homepage.

Also, when I sign up for any internet service, I give fake information about myself. I don't give out my real birthdate or email or real name. That's the smart thing to do.
