Why is WWE PG hated so much?

I am a Ruthless Aggression mark, I was not there for the Attitude Era (I was just don't remember anything from it) and now there is the much hated PG Era. PG is annoying I'll admit but most the people hating on PG are the fans that tune in every Monday for Raw and every Friday for Smackdown. I think PG is okay I mean we've seen the Rise of CM Punk, The return of The Rock, Return of Brock Lesnar and some very memorable moments (CM Punk Pipebomb, Lesnar vs Cena, 20-0). Back to the question, Do you hate PG Era if so why and if you do hate PG do you tune in on a regular basis?

I don't hate the pg era but wwe could be a little better right now. They are going to get a little edgier next year and I think they are well set up for that.

The PG Era has had its moments, like the ones you listed. But think of what else it's had: The Muppets, The 3 Stooges, a show geared specifically for kids, Hornswoggle, a lot of superstars appearing in movies, etc. Also, keep in mind that they can't just decide to change from PG to TV-14; the networks have to approve it. So USA and SyFy might stop them from going TV-14 if they wanted to. Also, I no longer tune in on a regular basis, but that's because of my schedule, not because I don't want to. All I watch now are the PPVs via stream.

i started watching in 2004 , im not sure what era that was but for 04 - about 07ish were the good times. i only hate the pg era cause they dont have any good people thats all, and because of this they always using cena for everything even though its wearing him down a bit. they just need more good people, im not saying cena is the only good one right now but still...

My first experience of watching wrestling was Summerslam 92 and Wrestlemania 9 I had on tape. I was obsessed from then on.
I cant remember ALL of the attitude era but definately most of it. It was an amazing time to be a fan.
Nowadays I hate the low level of violence, the quality of matches, the ridiculous segments that are meant to be funny. How they have Hell in a cell, money in the bank, tlc ppv's now. Why not use them as stipulations for grudge matches? I don't want to see one hell in a cell match in a year, how boring!
The storylines now also suck so damn bad! The Cena/AJ thing was just beyond stupid.
I do like CM Punk, Antonio Cesaro, Ziggler and a few others.
I've learnt to deal with the PG era because I love wrestling and wwe is not going to change

Yes, we've seen the rise of CM Punk but imagine him getting over in a pg-14 WWE. His rise would have been more controversial than it was. No blood, we used to see blood almost weekly, yes pg still has great matches but when there's blood its much more breathtaking. Promos, some promos are far to cheesy specially Cena's promos. I don't hate pg era i'll keep tuning in for years to come. i just think it was better back then.

I don't hate the PG era but I think stuff like Sheamus should have been allowed to say he threw Ricardo Rodrdiguez into Big Show's balls instead of like he said 'your chestnuts were roasting on an open fire' (or something like that)
