If the ballboy planned to timewaste, why do people assume he wasn't faking being kicked in the ribs?

On twitter before the match he announced that he planned to timewaste, if he planned to do that, isn't he just as capable of pretending to be kicked in the ribs to help Swansea out?

The main thing that makes me think he wasn't kicked is how Hazard runs after the ball straight after, surely if he did kick the boy in the ribs, he'd stop and be apprehensive about his next move.

I can't believe how over the top people are getting about this. Like you said, Hazard clearly tries to kick the ball from under the lads body and accidently slightly connects with the boys ribs. The way he starts rolling around is ridiculously, he even makes jestures to the ref as if he's a player. It's quite frankly embarrassing but unfortunately this is what the culture of diving in football creates.

Regardless of how much contact he actually made with the kid , it was a stupid thing to do and he's gonna be in the shite for it .

Of course the kid was in the wrong too and made a meal out of it but what Hazard did was crazy and bang out of order .

Ball boy lying on ball - highly paid, impatient footballer wanting to get back into the game thinking of a bonus. Yes, while I am not a footie fan I can understand the frustration. The ball boy won't do this again (if he gets the chance) and it will be a lesson to others!

Well you CAN'T prove whether he faked it

So Hazard will be punished with what was seen

I hear the police have taken the matter into their hands

Both were in the wrong. The ball boy should do his job properly and give the ball back instead of putting his tub-of-lard ass weight on the ball and just staying there. Hazard probably shouldn't have kicked him but If I was in that situation, I would have probably done the same, although I may have gave fat boy a broken rib or two. I'm not a Chelsea supporter btw.
