Worth getting a FB(college loner)?
I'm a loner. I have 1 friend, who's graduating next semester while I have several years left. I've decided to try to be more social in the coming semester. I'm going to try and get out to the bars, and perhaps join a club, but I was wondering if having social media accounts would help me.
Should I get a FB(or other social media) account? Is it worth it? I would greatly appreciate any helpful answers. Ads |

It wouldn't hurt. It's a great way to connect with new people, stay in touch with old friends back home, and make plans with people at your college once you've connected with them. A lot of college clubs and extracurricular activities will also use Facebook to connect with members about upcoming events. When I was in school, I actually had quite a few group projects that used Facebook to schedule meeting times and distribute surveys for research purposes. It was pretty handy for me, so I'd recommend it.
