Simply because "sex sells" and people tend to buy it. As humans, we are infatuated (and in some cases addicted) with sex and because of this the porn industry will continue to be a multi-billion dollar industry as well as magazines that contain sexual images of celebs will continue to hit store shelves.

Unless people learn to control their sexual inhibitions or simply ignore all the sexual marketing the media projects, just expect things to stay the way they are.
