Will this be enough internet for my phone, 500mb?

My contract allows me to have 500mb of internet, would this be enough to last me a month if i use whats app and check facebook occasional

Yes, it is good enough for only whatapp,facebook&other social sites.
Switch on your net on a regular interval in whole dayto check whether you got a mesage on whatapp or facebook because if your net is on on a daily basis then there are many kinds of app even mobile system uses your mobile data automatically(for updation of softwares).do not watch videos as videos &downloading consumes much data.
You can also check your mobile data by checking or dialing codes if it is provided in your contract.so,it becomes easy at last date of month to consume whole data for you.there are many apps which tells you that how much data is consumed by your mobile,here you not mention that your phone is android or iphone.,but you can search apps by typing data monitor in search option.you can chat for a long period also in 500mb but remember switch off mobile data immediately.
