I love making stories and writing them. I want a website where you can write novel-like stories. I already know about Storybird (its more for digital artists) and I don't like to write fanfiction.

A REALLY good one is http://www.wattpad.com it's what I use and there are very talented writers on there! And very easy setup. Probably the best out there (in my opinion)

EDIT: sorry, I should go a little more into detail about Wattpad. On Wattpad, you can sign up and choose a profile picture, profile backround, and make an "About Me" section. You can write an unlimited amount of stories, and when someone reads one, they can comment on chapters, vote, and share on Facebook/Twitter/etc. by the click of a button. The amount of votes and reads you get determine how popular your story becomes, and it can be featured on the home page of Wattpad. There's a yearly contest called the Watty Awards, which you can win up to $1000 if you win the most popular. At the least, if you win at all, you can get $100. You win by entering your story in the Watty Awards by putting your story in the category "Watty Awards 2012" and people will vote on it, and it will be up against other writers' great stories. You can interact with people all over Wattpad, get fans, or fan people. On your page, it will show the information about you that you wrote/posted, your fans, who you fanned, all your stories lined up and down, Your Library (which is what you can name yourself and add your favorite stories to so you can read them later), and down below will be your Message Board, where you can talk to people and send out messages to all your fans. There are "Clubs," which are categorized by things such as "Newbies," "Wattpad Readers," "Wattpad Writers," "Advertise Your Story," and many, many more. You can join a club and post a message to it, like a forum, and people will reply to what you posted (it's usually questions). You don't have to join the club to post on it. It's also a great way to meet people. That's how I met one of my good friends on Wattpad. There's also a Meebo chat bar at the bottom of your screen which will be there all the time, where it will show you who's online on the Meebo chatbar on Wattpad out of your fans and who you fanned (you won't be on Meebo unless you sign in, so you can be on Wattpad without being online on Meebo. Also, the Meebo chatbar won't be there on mobile devices and sometimes it won't work for me on Google Chrome). You can update your status on Meebo, or on your profile, and they'll be linked together for what your status is on both. You can pick if you are available on Meebo, busy, away, or simply sign off.

That's basically what you need to know about Wattpad. Have fun reading and writing on Wattpad! Big Grin

The main three I've used (or heard of) are Wattpad.com, Figment, com, and Fictionpress.com. Figment is the one consider best because there's a forum you can use where you can talk to other writers and exchange critiques.
