How i will upload my own template ?

Q1. If i design my own template/website [I don't know the proper name..i call it site getup/design] then how to upload it to bluehost or hostgator or any hosting ??

Q2. when facebook/twitter was small company then from where they get storage from unlimited photo upload,comments,user profile ?? did they buy their own server when they were small ?? [Optional Question,But if u can answer it will be great for me... ]

1. You upload you site to a webhost by using ftp, usually. Your host should have info on that.
