Picture Editing? HELP.?

I was wondering if anyone knows a good site to edit pictures.
I need to be able to edit land pictures. I want to be able to crop, add text, and etc.
If I need to download it, I need to make sure it doesn't give viruses. I think there's an editing site you can download with Word, but I don't know, and can't use Facebook editors.

There is a free program called Gimp shop you can edit anything with it

Besides photoshop. (which you have to buy, unless you pirate it) Paint.NET quakes all else that I've tried. But Gimp is also good. But Gimp can be hard to download sometimes.
