Why is Facebook not working right?

When I try to add my relationship on Facebook, it says, "That user already has a pending relationship request." I haven't sent her a relationship request and she hasn't sent me one yet, so why is Facebook doing this?
And she is NOT cheating on me, considering she has no relationship status.
I'm on the desktop version of Chrome. I know I have no relationship requests because you get an email (if you have that feature turned on; it can be annoying, but for things like this, I like it) and I check my email every day.

maybe facebook is trying to update my facebook app wont send me push notifications to my phone so i would give it a few days and then try again
