How should I engage another individual of a different race?
I recently just met this white guy through a friend at a concert, and he requested to be my friend on Facebook, which I accepted. He is really handsome and a nice guy, and after I did a little investigation on his Facebook page, I have learned that he loves black people a lot, especially black women. I’m not assuming that, he literally states that in his posts and in the “about” section of his Facebook page. I want to engage him, and get to know him more. However, I have known some white guys to say they love black women, but when it actually comes down to dating one, they shy away from that because of fear of what other people may think of them. Me… I don’t care what color you are, as long as I’m happy and you’re treating me the way I should be treated, then I don’t see the point in getting rid of a good thing. I usually date and prefer black men; however I don’t restrict myself to only black men. I will step out of the box and date men of other races. I just don’t know how to go about doing it. I don’t want to make him uncomfortable, I don’t want to scare him, and I don’t want to “poke” him to death on Facebook, or respond to every single post. I want to slowly but surely get to know him, and let him know that I’m interested. Any suggestions?

You could try bringing up his "about" section to him in chat or something? See what his reaction is, that's a start.

Heres the neat idea called talk to him. You should try it.

The same as any other person, colour or any other difference don't make them different.
