What is LEGAL NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT OF CLASS ACTION?
Got an email like that. Is it a scam or a virus?

Likely a scam unless you joined a class action lawsuit?

I think all Yahoo! got bombed with one, if you have to ask, well, you just did.
Think about it.

If there was a settlement in a class action lawsuit you may have been a part of (for example, recently there was a class action lawsuit involving Bank of America for their overdraft policies) you may be notified. I'm not aware of them doing it by email, only through the mail.

Legitimate class action notices are sent by mail to your home address, not your email. There's a fake Facebook notice going around now that's a virus

It would help to know what it says it's related to. Legitimate ones will usually provide a weblink to go to. They will also usually contact you via a mailing address, not email.

There are many legitimate ones, but there are some known fake ones out there these days too.

It's Legit!
Believe me, I researched this for a while.
I too received the same email.
It is Facebook.
