How many twitter posts should a business make in a day?

I run a clothing company and we are trying to expand our social media horizons and wondering how many tweets should we make in a day without it being considered spamming?
We currently make 12 - 15 tweets per day

If you have huge follower base, then it might be worth tweeting that much, if you have just a few, it will be better to tweet 3 times a day, 12 is quite a lot since your followers could find their dashboard filled with your updates only.
