samsung galaxy note 2 or Xperia?
I'm getting a new phone for my birthday and i've really wanted the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. However, someone i know said they had an Xperia S which is brilliant. The Xperia has a better camera but i do like the Samsung.
Has anybody got any of these phones that can give me abit of info on them?
ThanksSmile

The Xperia S is amazing, I'm writing to you from mine,I almost don't use a computer since I've had this. The camera is phenomenal, this mobile phone has everything the iPhone 5 boasts about and more.
Mine is quite smooth and easy running, the screen resolution is immense using the mobile bravia engine, it really makes colour stand out.
It's also PlayStation verified as well as being able to access Xbox Live, camera is twelve mp.
definitely recommend it.

Don't really know so much about the Note ||, used it once and tbh I enjoyed it, shame I didn't get much time with it.

If you have some extra money and time, then I'd definitely recommend the Xperia Z, just look it up.

Just a bit of info?

Ok first Sony xPeria have put the MEGA into MP, however ONLY when you get to the xPeria T, the BOND phone (used in Skyfall) does the T have better specs than the SGS II (i9100) .
The S does NOT have micro SD expansion, the T DOES

Also the SG NOTE 2 is Quad Core. The S & T like the SGS II are Dual Core, so the NOTE 2 is comparable to the Quad Core (soon to be released) Z.

S, T &Z ALL have non removable battery which means you can't buy a spare and carry it around with you (ask any Iphone user what that is like) as smartphone use more & want more juice, me myself I have never gone through 2 batteries in ONE day.

So whilst the xPerias have the better camera the NOTE 2 is a variant of the SGS III and imo the SGS II comes close 2nd to the T but I prefer the SGS II as battery means no Kevin Bacon , aka not connected to wall charger all day. Not saying KB is a wall charger, you knew that.

So here is the comparison Note 2 - v - S

Hi there,

Choosing a new phone can be a difficult decision and ultimately, you want the best phone possible (especially as it's for your birthday!)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 combines the functionality of a tablet with the portability of a mobile phone. Features include a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, with the latest Android Jelly Bean (4.1) operating system.

There is an 8-megapixel camera along with an additional 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, and a variety of photo features such as Best Photo and Low-Light Shot.

The S Pen Stylus makes navigation swift and easy, and there's Google Search, Maps, Gmail and YouTube all integrated into the handset.

The microSD card slot means that the internal memory can be boosted up to 64GB, so there is plenty of space for all of your apps, music and photos.

The Note 2 is a slightly heavy 180 grams but it shouldn't be too much of a problem in a bag or pocket.

The Sony Xperia S is a much lighter 144 grams but does run on the Android Gingerbread (2.3) operating system.

As you mentioned, the camera on the Xperia S is a whopping 12-megapixels along with the additional 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3D Sweep Panorama function and 1080p HD video recording.

There is a 4.3-inch HD Reality display with Google Search, Maps and Gmail integration, and additional PlayStation, Facebook and Sony's Music and Movies Unlimited integrated into the handset, with 3D Surround Sound.

In terms of storage, there is 1GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory.

My advice would be to read around the specs of both handsets and see which one offers you the features and functions you're looking for in a phone.

Here's a link to our Samsung Galaxy Note 2 page: http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/phone/Samsun...y_Note_II/

I hope this helps you with your decision and have a lovely birthday!

Best wishes,

Stefanie Smile
