What are some ways to meet people online?

Alright, so I just like meeting new people, but I've done everything there is. Finding new people (friends of friends, etc.) on Facebook, doing both chatroulette AND omegle at the same time, making a tumblr and talking to my followers, using iPhone social apps. Is there something I'm missing here? Are there any other ways to meet people online that work for you? Just for talking and making new friends mostly.

Oh and remember to be very careful online.At the same time try and go outside and socialise to meet people.Because if the chances are no-one likes you when you're out.How is someone gonna like you when you eventually meet them.Practice and get to know people.Most importantly...BE YOU.

I've found & met good friends online by accident. I joined this free online multi-player gaming site and met some people while playing games. Added them to my list, got to know them, then we became good friends. Sometimes we just chat and not play at all. (using Private Chat) Other times we invite each other to play some games and chat while we wait our turn or in between games. They have like 20+ different games that would please anybody.

Once you reach level 5 from playing games, you can go into 15 different kinds of chat rooms that they have. These chat rooms are decent and there are mods in some.
