Why will multiple internet explorers open up when i click on something?
i'll be on facebook or something and a bunch of internet explorers will start to open up, like 45 of them, is this a symptom of a virus??

Yes, it is. I've had a trojan on my computer one time that made mine so that aswell, except I was on myspace.
I'd suggest scanning your computer or buying some software to take care of it immediately.
