i would leave your side fringe down and give a little bump at the front by
1. creasing your hair at the front so your side fringe is hanging down
2. getting the piece behind your fringe and rating it ( move up and down in circular motion with rating brush )
3. putting hair spray and ratting it some more
4. clipping the ratted piece into place , a little bump
5. curl the rest of your hair to the side

Definitely curls! Curl your whole hair, and braid your fringe half way around your head.
I think you should let your hair grow a bit, and get a side fringe.
