Filters at School and how to get around them?

Is there a way I can get around the filters at school with VPN (virtual private network) or a proxy server of some sort? I have tried VPN but it works for 5 minutes and then shuts me off and all the proxies are blocked. Before you give me some BS about how I'm in school and i should be learning and you don't pay taxes for me to wast time in school let me tell you i have no Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and i will be using this for things like AP Physics and Marketing 3.

Sometimes if you add an "s" to the http (so it looks like https) that will work, and sometimes if you try adding "m." to go to the mobile site that will work also

I remember one time I had to write a paper on Renaissance art and I had to use examples, but it was hard to do it at school because they blocked the stupidest things.
