What do you think of using the Gay 'marriage' vote to sneak through a secret justice bill?
"While all attention at Westminster was focused on whether to allow gay marriage, this Coalition Government did something furtive – something that is not only much less liberal, but coldly terrifying.

Under the cover of the furore, it quietly disinterred the corpse of its ‘Secret Justice’ Bill. This Bill creates extraordinary new legal powers to keep official dealings hidden from us. It changes all the comforting certainties about the rule of law in Britain.

Most of us have some kind of grasp of what is officially called the Justice and Security Bill."

I think that heterosexuals should not have special rights such as marriage based on whom they sleep with. Thus, any attempt to correct that defect should not be used in a separate divide-and-conquer strategy.

If the people can't pay attention to more than one issue at a time, they deserve what they get. The Justice and Security bill is as well documented as any other bill.

The Mail story is also grossly misleading. It states that the government 'introduced' the bill under cover of the gay marriage debate, and this is completely false. In fact, the bill has been on the order paper for some time, and has merely returned to the House after Committee stage hearings, as is NORMAL for bills. Both the Houses still have to consider the bill before it becomes law.

This reminds me of that famous line -- "Infamy , infamy -- they've all got it in for me "

What did you say? You should arrested for hate speech you nasty little prick! There is nothing wrong with a 70-year old man marrying a 16-year old boy. The WHOLE COUNTRY supports that relationship. Deal with it.

To be honest Lorne I never noticed what this government was up to.

It goes to show that anyone who really believes that they live in the 'Land of the Free' is being
kidded along.

What this really means to be truthful is that Labour as well as Liberal Democrats are as guilty as each other when it comes down to misleading the British public.
