Do you monitor your childrens computer use and how much screen time they get?

I was never really monitored. My parents had told me the dangers of certain things on the internet and such like chat rooms and such. I got my laptop at 17 and I wasn't monitored at all and my parents never asked for my passwords. My mom knows my passwords but she doesn't check on me since at 23 it's not necessary. And as for screen time I determine that and it's between 3 to 6 hours sometimes more. I also go to school and am an adult so that's not an issue

No, I've never felt the need to monitor my son online.

Even if I wanted to monitor him, I probably couldn't (considering that by the age of 12 he built his first computer and probably knew more than me). At that age, and especially teens, the majority of them are very tech savvy. They know you're nosey and overprotective, and are already three steps ahead of you.

Your 17 year old is monitored? I hope you're having a laugh.
