Why did the yahoo mobile site revert back to the old version?

I've noticed that in the past month that the yahoo mobile site has changed (for the better). The yahoo main page had one large picture associated with a story at the top and you could flick through for the other featured stories. This is opposed to the old version that looks more like the regular site, with three or four stories under the main one that you would page through to see the rest of the featured stories.

Also, in the updated version, there was a list of articles below the main one and you had the option of swiping them to share on social media.

However, in the past couple days it seems to have reverted back to the original one and I'm not a fan. I want to know what happened to the new one and whether it's going to come back!
