Do I have a computer Virus?
I am getting tons of ads on EVERYTHING. I am getting ads in random places on my Facebook, I am getting ads on Google, and they all have a little icon that says *ad not by webpage* or something like that and I've clicked on one from Facebook and one from Google and they both take me to this thing called "Vid Saver". While vid saver seems like a cool device, I am tired of the random ads I am getting all over the place. Why am I having all of these extra ads?

Yes, you do have a virus.

To fix this try download and run Microsoft Security Essentials ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo...s-download ) and scan your computer for viruses.

I suggest that you run a scan with Hitman pro and/or Emsisoft Emergency Kit.

Boot the computer into Windows Safe Mode by pressing F8 about once every second during startup.

Now download and run the Windows Defender application.

Run your updated antivirus.

Download Spybot (free version available) from http://www.safer-networking.org/

Run Malwarebytes from http://www.lavasoft.de

Run a registry cleaner.

Now reboot and see what happens. This should have got rid of it.

If not, then post a second question with details of what is infecting it.

Yes, that's an indication of a virus.

Sly_Old_Mole beat me to it, but...

These download links may prove useful:

Junkware Removal Tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download...oval-tool/

AdwCleaner:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

This video shows the products being used:

Once you’ve run them, download the free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, to try and ensure that nothing has been left behind. Install it and get updates, then run a full scan:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwar...i_malware/

Hope this helps.
