Why do I still have spam on facebook?

I got spam on my account and after doing everything facebook told me to do in order to get rid of it and still having it, I made a new account. The same day I made the account I was getting the same exact spam. Why? How do I get rid of this?

because your computer is what is infected, not your facebook profile

it could be a toolbar you installed, or a browser add-in you installed, or a virus, or some other malware

have your anti-virus program updated and do a full scan

It sounds like a computer infection. You could have a virus. There are many reasons for this.

Run a security scan on your computer. The viruses will be removed and your files will be checked and backed up and other infections will be removed
