How do I get rid of the "I sent you a smiley! Want to see it?" on Facebook?

Whenever I post a comment or status on facebook it comes up with "I sent you a smiley! Want to see it?" with a link. I think it's a virus, how do I get rid of it?

I would assume you have the same thing my GF has, all you need to do is delete the smiley central toolbar I assume you have. Or just use a different browser instead of IE.
