He told the fans that they wouldn't be getting any autographs from the players since they were heckling them.

I'm a Dolphins fan, but I thought it was pretty gutsy. No one is entitled to an autograph, and I don't understand why someone would want an autograph of someone he or she was just booing.

I think it is great what he did. Fans have gotten a little out of control with what they think they can say and what is exceptable. It is true that Gailey approached a group of young hecklers standing near the field and yelled to them, "If you dog one of us, you dog all of us."

The teenagers had been riding quarterback Trent Edwards throughout practice so in addition to telling them off, he instructed his players not to go near that section of the stands to sign autographs. In essence he penalized anyone standing near the group as well. Maybe that was a bit much? He was trying to send a message.

Two weeks ago after Miami's intrasquad scrimmage, Ricky Williams went on Twitter and politely asked the fans to refrain from booing or ridiculing the players and from shouting out questions to them while they are in the middle of drills.

"In order for us to get better we need to be able to focus on practicing and getting better," he Tweeted. "Cheers and applauds are great. But questions are distracting. When we make a mistake on the field it would be great if fans motivated us instead of shouting negativity." Just another sign that NFL Fans are not showing respect for their own teams. I believe in freedmon of speech, but there is a time and place for everything. Players are not going to play better because some over zealous fan is shouting obscenities.

Any future heckling will have to be contained within the football stadium at home or on the road as there are no more practices open to the public. Training camp is over for the Bills. Probably came at the right time.

At the end of the day he let the fans of the Bills and the world know he will go to war for his team. It is a good message to deliver.
