My laptop crashed can I reinstall windows 7 in it?
My Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop is messed up. I get a blue screen when starting normally. I ran a few full Malwarebytes scans, but to no avail. I saw on a help forum that I should reinstall the Windows again. My laptop has Windows XP. I have the reinstall for both Windows XP and also I have Windows 7 from my desktop. Should I install the XP or 7 into the laptop?

Use the Windows XP that you have the certificate of authenticiy for on the laptop.
You can get an upgrade license later, if you want Windows 7 (I did that for my Dell Latitude Laptop) - they should still be available, even though Windows 8 has come out. Ads |

Patricia M,
The Inspiron 6000 may not support Windows 7. Dell does not have Windows 7 Drivers for this system. You would also want to run the Windows 7 Compatability Center to see if your system could support windows 7. Click the link below. Windows 7 Compatability Center http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/c...uage=en-US Thank You, Dell-Jesse L Dell Social Media and Communities |
