How to get rid of a facebook virus?

Someone "tagged me" in a "video" but all it is is an unpleasant picture of someone - it's even on my profile banner, when i click the x button to get rid of it, it says that I cant, also when I go on to my photos, and click on the photo that i was "tagged in", it doesnt come up with any of the options - no report buttons, no tagged people, no delete button - nothing! Just the image. How do I get rid of it?! Please help because I dont want my friends and family seeing this!

You might have malware.


Download Malwarebytes (free version), update and do a full scan, remove all selected when the scan is finished.

This isn't a virus, it is simply an issue with your privileges. Contact the person who posted the image and ask them to take down your tag and do it in a serious manor as this is a breach of your privacy. Do not let them get away with leaving it there.

Untag yourself, tell them to stop tagging you, or just simply delete them as a friend.
Click the "X" icon to remove tagged images you don't like, if it messes up your banner then simply go to http://glbanners.com and get a new Facebook banners (or reinstall a previous one).
