when it feels creepy. listen to your gut!! if something inside tells you to run, then run! far fast NOW..
if they must know where you are at all seconds. thats bad.
if they hit you or make you cry thats bad.
if they do things then get mad at you, thats bad.
if they dont act like they like you, but they want to control you, thats bad
tell somebody. your gut is correct always listen to it
NEVER ever be with anybody unless they make you feel happy! if you feel icky inside, thats the wrong one for you. cut them off..

when one person accidently / purposefully lets something slip out that u haven't told them yet like the town u live in or ALL of ur likes, movies, books, and shows, ect. Or coincidently running into u alot in locations that u publicize, work at, study at, eat at, or chill at routinly. Also leaving embarrassing notes/coments on ALL statuses and pics, even ones from 2 years ago for others to see.

ps this takes into assumption that you are both up to date on social media/networking

I'm guessing that you're a female, since it's usually the girls who ask these questions, so I'd say this: it starts getting creepy/scary when your male counterpart puts a lock on the inside of the front door and doesn't give you the combination. Maybe you wouldn't get answers so ludicrous as the ones you're getting if you added more detail.
