Just because he's nice to me and is playful, does that mean he likes me?

This guy and I have been talking since March, mostly just texting/facebook/twitter. (I know him in real life, I didn't meet him on a social networking site) Anyhow, once I started working a few months ago, he started coming in a lot to see me. Now he and I are hanging out and going shopping together, the beach, summer festivals, etc. He's really nice to me, and like he'll playfully hit me, tease me and call me 'loser/dork" all the time, when we go shopping he'll always put a goofy hat or sunglasses on me, just nice stuff like that. He calls me pretty a lot, and cutie, but not babe or baby. He's a really nice guy, and he tries to open me up a lot and get me to try new things and things he likes. And he wants to take me on his fourwheeler soon! BUT, is he just being nice and wants to be my friend, or does he want to maybe date me in the future? What do you think?

He does, or he'd avoid you. Men tend to kindly tease girls that they like. Does he want to be your friend? Yes, I believe he does. Does he want to date you, in the future? Possible, but nobody can be sure, until the future. Not even him. But it's likely. And unless he's dumb, or doesn't come from a good family, he probably knows, that friendship comes first. I think you should give him a few chances. I think the real question is, are you interested in him? Do you like him? Do you want to be his friend? I think you should do it.

I happen to think that you are not attracted to him at all. I think you think of him as a friend, maybe even a "girlfriend" type of a friend. Shopping? Really? Date in the future? What are you doing now? Hanging?
