Surfing without adequate protection ie: Firewall, antivirus, antispyware, all of which are available for free.
Not updating antivirus and installing security patches
Popups which contain malicious links
Instant Messenger
Buddy request on Bebo and Facebook which currently redirect users to malware sites
Downloading zip files etc from unknown sources that are attached to emails
and the list goes on
