IS there a way to download apps without submitting credit card details?
I got an ipod touch yesterday, and i wanted to download the facebook app so i logged in with my apple ID and then i went through this review and i have to submit credit card information. is there any way to not give this information? I mean im downloading free apps:\

If you enter the credit card information it will not cost you unless you actually buy an app. So if you are just getting free apps it will not cost you anything on your credit card. So, if you are worried about it costing you money, just dont buy anything and it will not cost you anything. It is also 100% safe.

Yes....I use an itunes gift card, but first redeem it, then/view your account/edit payment options.

You can get a pre-paid credit card and put like 3 bucks in it then submit the number and then you can download all the free apps you want my friend has an ipod iphone imac ipad and he never shuts up about them so I am bound to know this in fact that is his method of getting apps and if someone hacks your account you won't be loosing hundreds or thousands of dollars you would only lose like 3 or you can just buy some itunes gift cards I don't know if that will work on apps but the pre-paid credit card is the best way to get stuff from itunes and the appstore
