Should I delete my Facebook?

Should I delete my Facebook?
I'm just so sick of it.

And it's not really private anymore. I've seen Facebook post stuff of my friends' in the newsfeed that they don't even know is there. Like websites they're on and stuff. Or pictures they look at on a certain app.

So, I just wonder what it's sharing that I didn't give permission for. I even have all my apps turned off and it turned on the "Bing Social Search" without notifying me, so God knows what my friends have seen that I searched.

Anyway, Facebook is taking up so much of my time. I feel like there's things I could be doing with the 3-4 hours I'm on here.

The thing is, I have some friends and family that live in other states and I'd rather not lose contact with them. I don't really talk to them on Facebook but it's nice to know what they're up to.

I also have a lot of pictures and stuff that I'll have to get rid of.

So...should I delete it? And would you delete yours?

I think their is an option to deactivate it, and if you change your mind you can reactivate it. Instead of just getting rid of Facebook altogether, and losing contact with some of your family, have you thought about making a new Facebook just for family/close friends? On this new Facebook, do not like any pages that you do not want to see on your news feed, or add anyone you do not ACTUALLY know. This way when you go on it will all be relevant information, and less likely to consume your day.

Just my 2 cents on the situation, but if I were you, I would not stop using Facebook entirely, to many lost contacts.
