I added a military guy on Facebook who's in the navy, what would be a good conversation starter?

Just ask him questions about his job and what he thinks of the Navy

Ask him if he'd like to see your "Private Photo Collection."

Don't try too hard to get his attention. You might come off as being greedy and he might not be interested in talking with you. Just ask him about himself.

A good conversation starter is to say hi then ask him about what it is like in the military and boom there's the conversation.

I have a gut feeling you are middle aged woman and just added a Nigerian conman posing as a sailor with stolen photos, then he will tell you how much he loves you and you will be back here asking how to pay for his magical make believe leave from deployment. Same song and dance for the past decade of these wars.
