Is walking away the most significant action for budgies?

Is walking away the most significant action for budgies?
Well, my male budgie whom I bought about 10 days ago seems very ambiguous to me. Now I don't know if it's just my confusion or the ambiguity in his behavior.

But the main thing I'm trying to ask is that, if my budgie doesn't like something (like me spraying him for bath, or training too much, or some food) would he just run/fly away from it or keep doing it or something else?

The first day he was so scared, but then he got used to me and i have been letting him out everyday for an hour or so in my bathroom since the 1 day and today I let him out in my room at night as an extra and he flew to me twice and also went to the latch of my cupboard a couple time and finally he went to his cage after a while and then let me pet him on the head (this happens very rarely) and ....would he just run away or move his head away when he doesn't want me to pet him?

Also he doesn't play with his toys, ive got him a swing, a plastic ball (pink color) and this key chain with "red chilies and spherical bell thingy".

I'm a bit confused on what to talk to him about? what kind of music do they like?
Any suggestion on a name for him would be appreciated.

And If I could get your email for further questions to help me with him would be a lot.
He never chirps and screams sometimes, and I also haven't clipped his wings nor do I want or intend to
This is him -> https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5FFeYVG...o2T00/edit

I have only had two budgies so I'm by means no expert but if you have only had him ten days I would say he is probably still warming up to you. Our male loves bells so maybe he will warm up to that toy. Ours like to just listen to tv and sometimes I play classical music but he doesnt seem to like that more than anything else.

If you plan to keep letting him freely play around your home it could be dangerous for him if you do not clip his wings because they can frighten pretty easily and he could fly into something hard enough to hurt him.

Another way mine have been known to display their dislike for something like touching them is that they will bite and sometimes it may hurt pretty badly.

As far as the name, what color is he?

It'll be hard to answer all those questions at once here, so my email is littleowl6420@gmail.com (I think you know, by the way), feel free to contact me!

So for your first question, he may just try to ignore it, or move away from it. Once he sees that what he's doing may not be working, he may fly away. But usually budgies have a fairly even personality and would rather just try to ignore or move away than fly to a different place.

Second question, if you keep petting him, usually budgies (and all other parrots) LOVE to be petted like that. Give him a gentle scratch on the neck, and they love it, and will hiss at you if you stop petting them. Simply hogging attention, I guess. But it is possible he will get tired, and will just try to duck or move away if he's annoyed by too much. But in most cases, hand raised birds will sit there obediently enjoying it.

Third question, maybe he needs a bit of time to adjust. Ok, it has been 10 days maybe, but my two budgies never play with their toys, except for a red rope that was there by accident.... Anyway, some birds get picky about what toys they have, others just not so playful as some. If he still seems active and in his normal behavior, its not too big of a problem. Just continue spending a lot of time with him, and it shouldn't be that big of a problem, it won't lead to serious "depression of lack of entertainment". As I said, when he wants to play, he will, in the meantime, nothing you can really do about it.

What to talk to him about? What do you mean? You mean training and taming him by sitting by his cage and talking to him? If you do mean that, just whatever comes naturally. They don't care WHAT you're saying, just as long as you say it gently and evenly and they know they can trust you. Or if you're seriously confused, even read a story could work.

Music? Well, it depends on your bird. They all like different kinds. Play a few and see which he might like. I play different kinds to mine and some soothe them and put them to sleep, others they hiss at, some keep them very alert, and some others they dance and chirp to.

Name? So, its a male, right? Well, here are some names I come up with randomly....
