Does anyones else on here agree with me that this generation sucks?

Eh, im 16 and honestly the future of everyone scares me...
I go to school and get decent grades, but i mean the kids that i go to school with are extremely stupid, They get alright grades but in my opinion grades don't define intelligence and they just go to parties every weekend ( I go to some but only ones of friends that I like ) and they just get drunk, Have sex and all this shit and I've even seen someone shooting up heroin in a car... And these kids are only like 13, 14... I am 16 and there isnt much of an age difference but honestly its disgusting especially these dumb sluuts on twitter, Facebook, etc. I am guessing it wasn't like this 20 years ago? and i mean it's not like im not having fun, im pretty "popular" and whatnot but I just dont get sucked into all that shit...

There has always been evil in the world and things to hate in every generation.
The 30's had the depression and all of the mob violence.
The 40's had the Nazi's and World War II
The 60's had the hippies that were probably doing far more drugs than you see.
So on and so forth.
There's always going to be what you deem to be "good" and "bad" in a culture. There's no perfect generation. So all we can do if focus on the good and try and help those who fall. Don't think of them as stupid, because you don't understand everything they are going through.

Yes I agree, they seem to think the world owes them, In my generation we were more friendly , had more morals. were more honest and family orientated. The younger generation are always winging about life. Yet they have more than we ever had. Not all but most.

It's true, the young are luxurious and the old are ambitious. If you think ignorance (which is most present in your generation) is sad, then wait when you get older. People are bad. they don't care about you, they are evil, but of course, there will always be good people.

I blame the media for this. All this useless technology and the irresponsible parents.

I agree with you, and I appreciate your bravery to stand up for your values. You are a good person, you use your mind and trust your heart, that's why it is easier for you to step back and see the whole thing, then realize the mess and perversion that these generations are living now.

School , TV, simplified at use but complex technologies, perverted Music and Movies, internet , social networking, new shallow social standards, .... and more and more new things have shaped this new virtual reality, and have led young people to completely forget about their connections with the real world and the real people, the connection and faith with their real families and friends, the real true human values, the real beautiful nature of this world.
This reality is fantastic, they just need to think about it, and observe it closely, rather then living in virtual false worlds .

You can't change people's choices, the only thing you can do, is stand up for your truth, never to let them influence your choices, even if the whole world is wrong you have to be right , for your own sake. Continue like that you are doing great, just be patient and live happily your own life, surrounded by beauty and beautiful quality people, don't look for shallow relationships look for deep human values and stay strong until the storm passes by .

@Terry, I envy your generation's values. I've always wished that I could have grown up in a society such as yours. But unfortunately standards got flushed down the crapper and we are left here knee deep in the shit. When I say we I mean those among my generation who haven't sold their souls.
