how to stop facebook alerts or emails?

My email is full of face book stuff,i dont want that

at the bottom of the email you can "unsubscribe" and they will stop

Go to account settings >> click on the notification tab

As a start, edit your Facebook notifications (as opposed to your Photos or Groups notifications), then uncheck items you don't want to receive. If you'd like to uncheck everything, choose the little envelope above the check boxes to "toggle email notifications" on or off.
