Something's wrong with my twitter?

I've been getting a lot of recommendations on who to follow on Twitter and a lot of them are celebrities from Philippines... I'm not from Philippines in fact I'm from the US. Non of the people I'm follow are following someone from Philippine so what's the deal? And when I look at the Trends its about Philippines... Even thought I'm set for worldwide. Well I do follow @DaveBatista who is actually half Filipino. I'm not saying I don't like Philippines but I'm getting a lot of Philippines stuff on my twitter and I don't know why. And my location is also set on USA. Anyone know why Twitter is recommending me to follow Filipino celebrities??? Cause I don't even know 1 celebrity from Philippines.
