Team fortress 2 Graphics problem?
I recently bought a quadro fx 1300 graphics card for my dell optiplex gx620 full size tower running windows 7 os and a dual core pentium d 3.20 3.19. Anyway When I go to play team fortress 2 the graphics are all messed up and ive tried everything such as typing "-dxlevel 80" and many other dx levels. Also when I installed my graphics card i relized that they didnt have drivers for windows 7 so i installed vista 64 bit drivers. combat arms works fine but team fortress to have glitching graphics, no lag btw

Hello Corey,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Disable Aero Theme:

Team Fortress 2 by default doesn't disable the Aero theme for itself like it did in Vista, this is one of the first fixes I recommend you try, it's worked for about 75% of users that are having issues with Team Fortress 2 in Windowed Mode. To do this follow the steps below, I won't be using images like I do in a lot of my other Guides / Help topics just because I lack the retail version of Windows 7 on a working PC. (This has also increased some Windows 7 users Performance when playing Team Fortress 2)

Steps:

Navigate to HL2.exe in your Team Fortress 2 Directory [X:\Games\Steam\steamapps\username\team fortress 2\hl2.exe]
Right click on HL2.exe and select "Properties"
Select the "Compatibility Tab"
Disable the following by clicking on their boxes "Disable Themes or Composition"

Note: If TF2 Fails to start at all after this fix it's recommended you simply uncheck the boxes you checked previously, this will undo anything you've just done so you won't actually experience any issues because of this fix.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter(@NiranjanatDell). I will be happy to assist.
