Dell Latitude D630 Laptop wifi turns off and on?
Me and my bf are having problems with the wifi adapter on our Dell Latitude laptop. It goes on and off, the first time this has happened was yesterday...when it goes off, the PC says "wireless capability is turned off" when the switch itself is ON, and the "WIFI" light flickers along with the cylinder hard drive light under the screen, far right. Sometimes the WIFI light is off until it flickers again and the wifi will stay off until it decides itself to come back on again.
What is going on with this wireless adapter? It was working fine and now it's acting weird. Meanwhile, I've tried everything....except installing a new driver, because I assume it isn't a driver issue because the driver should be new and still good? All help would be appreciated. =]]]

1.The problem is in the driver. You need to update it.To do it go Start / Control Panel / Device Manager / Network Adapter.Double click on Network Adapter.Adapter type appears.Double click on it.Window opens.Click on tab Driver, click Update.Click Update Automatically, confirm update.
2.If it does not fix problem you have to buy dongle -USB Network Adapter g or n type.install it on computer and disable original in Device Manager.

Hello microbopeep ♥Stranger♥☂,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

This issue could be with the driver or the wireless card itself.

Follow the link below to run a basic hardware test on your system.
http://support.dell.com/support/topics/g...cid=266787

If you get any error code, you can associate it to the list given in the link below.

As Boris 24 has mentioned, you can update the driver from device manager or logon to http://www.support.dell.com and download the latest driver for the wireless card.

At odd times, this could be a problem with the connection between the wireless card and the mother board.
I would recommend you to check the connection of the wireless card inside your system. (You can download the service manual for your system from the link below.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter(@NiranjanatDell). I will be happy to assist.
