Recently my internet has slowed down a lot?

I have an very fast computer, but for some odd reason facebook, and especially youtube have been slower than slow for me. Videos take forever to render, and facebook comments can take minutes to post. Could I possibly have a virus? Is there anything other than my router that could be causing this?

There are several things that could be causing this. It could definitely be a virus. If you are using wireless I would assume that is causing the problem.

Another possible cause could be if there was an IP address conflict on your network (your computer and another computer are using the same IP).

you probley don't have a virus
first google msconfig and see what you can understand about that command (it can increase your computers speed greatly)
then uninstall all the junk on your computer eg. msn, aol, crapware and programs you don't use
defragment your hardrive (may take overnight)
empty your cookies (used to track you online) (google how to do it im in a hurry)
install avg free i have used it for 2 years and never had a problem
