What'd you do, copy that off the NRA website? Obviously it's clear since Obama just nominated a Jewish Fundamentalist for Secretary of Treasury.

Yes.

"Leaders are so lucky that men do not think"
Adolf Hitler

"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." -- Adolf Hitler (Speech of May 1, 1927)

And more ...

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America."

1) Nazi Germany never had "excessive gun control" and it's a meaningless comparison anyway, most contries have significant gun controls (except for one), some are free democracies, some are authoritarian dictatorships. Coincidence is not correlation.
2) Nazi Germany was literally murderously anti-welfare. Nazis murdered the physically and mentally disabled and furthermore, all fascists had extreme positions on welfare I will address momentarily.
3) Nazi Germany never nationalized industry or medicine.
4) Nazis never made "specious arguments against freedom", they made specious arguments against liberalism, democracy, social welfare, equality and communism.
5) The greatest percentage of votes any nazi ever attracted in any election was something like 33%. The majority of Germans voted against and always reviled the nazis. The nazis gained total power mostly through political leverage, also through violence, force or threat thereof.
6) At least half of all Jews and Catholics are progressives. This is just hysterical hyperbole and I don't even know how to respond intelligently to something this incoherent.
7) The only extreme anticlerical mandates the nazis ever issued oppressed Jews and any other minority religions other than Protestant and Catholic. The nazis were actually pragmatic about their relationship with Christianity. They wanted to replace religion with their weird mythological Pagan nationalist cult but they understood the people would turn on them if they went too far too fast so they accommodated Christianity with a non-aggression policy.
8) Nazis never "vilified industrialists / capitalists / wealthy" (and neither do contemporary progressives for that matter). All fascists denounced only laissez faire capitalism specifically but otherwise fiercely advocated for capitalism merged with the state. Nazis vilified only Jewish bankers specifically as part of their overall "Jewish conspiracy" narrative but fascists revered wealthy industrialists (as long as they weren't Jewish) and celebrated them as examples of Ubermench supermen that proved themselves genetically superior through triumph in the theatre of artificial conflict (capitalism).

... and now for that commentary on welfare I said I would get to momentarily. Read Wikipedia articles on fascism, google it and read about it on, let's say, 8 other wesites. In doing this, you will learn that when it comes to fascism, there are generally only two major points on which all scholars and experts are unanimous: 1) fascism is elusive and difficult to define, and 2) the core foundation of all fascism is 'strength and weakness' principle. All fascists always proposed that the state should never artificially sustain "the weak" through social welfare programs because it encourages dependence and promotes the weak who then weaken the state by diluting the "the strong". In parallel, all fascists proposed "strength" (both individual and national) emerge and increase through a process of artificial conflict. For the individual within the state, that 'conflict' is a capitalist economy in which individuals compete, prevail then dominate or fail then perish, for the state that 'conflict' is war with other states. Hitler and Mussolini despised social welfare. Both spoke and wrote about this extensively. Hilter specifically addresses it in great detail in 'Mein Kampf'. Both Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany indeed had some social welfare programs such as unemployment benefits for example but both were extremely selective about who qualified and how. In the case of Nazi Germany, 'good Aryans' received conditional unemployment benefits for limited time periods but any Jew, Gypsy, homosexual, drug user, the physically or mentally disabled and even any otherwise 'good Aryan' merely suspected of laziness or deficiency ultimately more often than not ended up murdered, and that was their "unemployment compensation". Both Hitler and Mussolini also identified democary as responsible for 'degenerate' social welfare because the 'weak' vote themselves the power and wealth of the 'strong'. To not know any of this and then characterize Nazi Germany as an "extreme welfare state" is profoundly uninformed and an insufferable offense to the memory of the victims of nazis and fascists.

-so now, let's conduct a quick recap for comparison since you are evidently so fond of the exercise:

>> Social welfare programs reward failure and encourage dependence.
>> Democratic elections entitle the weak to vote themselves other people's wealth.

Can you identify any contemporary US political party or demographic group to whom you think the above compares?
