How would WW3 look to suburban citizens in places like the US & UK?
There so much talk of WW3 on YouTube and Facebook with many people predicting it will happen soon. I don't want to know if you think it will happen or not, I'd just like to know what you think it will be like for your average person living in a western suburb. Will the conflict effect everyone?

Many people are predicting it will occur soon. Keep in mind that many people are complete morons.

As an economics (and accounting as a double major) student, I can say with 100% confidence that everyone will be affected, at least economically. Think about it. The US and the West are unlikely to go to war with each other, at least in the near future. The Asian region is also a major partner in trade, so any conflict with most likely be settled with via diplomatic means. Most of Africa (sans the Northern regions) is unlikely to be a participant in a world war at this point in history. That leaves the Middle East, a region that is rife with disaster and war. That area is a major producer of oil and oil-related products essential for nearly everything industrial and some commercial products. With a world war based in the Middle East, gas prices would skyrocket and the price of goods would soar. Yes, the US is now a net exporter of oil, however, Asia and other regions would be using much of that, so the price effect would still be the same with American oil.

It is my belief that unless a complete psychopath comes into power (and I stress the word psychopath. I'm referring to someone who has genuinely lost their mind) in a nuclear nation (or a nation that is capable of producing or obtaining nuclear arms), most things will be settled diplomatically. The cost of war is just too much, financially.

In short: yes, the conflict will affect everyone, including those in the suburbs of the US and UK.

Well it depends who's fighting the war. If china were to get in a war with the US then unless America attacks first there would most likely b a big all round invasion of America which suburban people would obviously see.in that case u just have to hope they don't behave like the nazis.if Iran and Israel started doing ground operations then a big war would break out.seeing as Iran is surrounded they wouldn't really b able to invade anywhere other than there neighbouring country's unless they actually somehow beat Israel. The biggest effect that a middle eastern WW3 would have on suburban life would be a nuclear attack.these are both very unlikely. Australia is acting like the wall between China and America war-wise. Seeing as China and Australia are huge trading partners if china were to attack America then they would lose all there supply's that they are getting from Australia because Australia would side with America.and the middle Eastern war is even less likely cus as soon as Iran gets close to having nukes they would start threatening people and everyone would no they were close and in retaliation an attack would b launched against there bases with there reaserch and all there progress would gone and it would turn into another Iraq.but still that's better than WW3
