Can someone give me some honest advice?

So two weeks ago my girl told me she needed time to figure things out cause she had a lot going on, so she didn't break up just said she needed time to think. She says we should stay as friends and I just don't understand because we were a very happy couple, everyone wanted a relationship like ours because we were bestfriends and so close with our families. Anyways we took time off, I'm not bothering her or begging her to come back because I love her more then anything but I understand that she needs time to think.To get to the point, she says I'm glad were still friends and will occasionally text me and respond to a random post on twitter. Politely ill reply and try to be as nice as possible, cause in the end were still friends and even though I love her, I rather not lose her. Does this mean anything that she still contacts me?

I think you are a really nice boy, if you love her just wait!! But if nothing happens as time goes, just forget her and be happy =)
